Liu's Manor Museum is worth a visit
🏯Historic Site Name: Dayi Liu's Manor Museum
📌Address: No. 15, Jingui Street, Anren Town, Dayi County, Chengdu City
🏛Cultural Heritage Level: Fourth batch of national cultural heritage in 1996
🎫Admission Fee: 40 RMB per person
As children, we all called this place "Dayi Landlord's Manor", and the mere mention of its "water dungeon", "rent collection courtyard" and such would send shivers down our spines. Later on, with the development of society and the enhancement of our own understanding, we came to truly realize that "history is like a young lady who allows others to dress her up".
However, since becoming part of the fourth batch of national heritage in 1996, this place indeed has incomparable cultural value. The architecture, museum collections, clay sculptures, and relics on display here are of great significance for understanding and researching the political, economic, and cultural aspects of China's semi-colonial and semi-feudal society, as well as the history of Sichuan warlords, folklore, and modern residential architecture. It also serves as an important window into the social development history of modern China, showcasing a part of the historical face of society at that time.
For a self-driving tour around the area, Dayi County is a pretty nice destination, with good food, fun, and sights to see!

National Heritage Punch-in: Dayi Liu Manor (National Level IV)
Dayi Liu Manor, located in Anren Ancient Town, which is now the Liu Manor Museum, is the fourth batch of national key cultural relics protection units, an important modern historical site and representative architecture, from the Qing Dynasty.
The manor was established in the late Qing Dynasty by the bureaucrat and landlord Liu Wencai and his brothers, consisting of five mansions and one ancestral home built in succession. The layout and architectural style of the manor reflect the history of the formation and development of the Liu family's estate, representing a successful combination of traditional Chinese inland architectural techniques and Western architectural styles in modern history.
The manor ticket is 40 yuan, which allows visiting all three spots. There is a two yuan discount for tickets purchased one day in advance. During the Qingming Festival holiday, there are a lot of tourists. Among them, a set of seven nanmu chairs is said to be the throne of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom's king, extremely precious, and probably the treasure of the museum.
